Bradley Manning: Victim of a Government without Conscience

Is there any doubt that the United States is well on its way to becoming a full blown police state? We all sat back and watched our country become the global bully engaging in illegal wars, using indiscriminate violence against civilians, and prosecuting whistle blowers instead rewarding them for their courage. Now we find that the NSA is caching our phone calls and e-mails, Bradley Manning gets 35 years at Leavenworth for informing citizens of war crimes committed in their name in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Edward Snowden is rabidly pursued by the Obama Administration for releasing information that details just how extensively and aggressively our government is spying on its own people. In so doing, a plane carrying the Bolivian head of state, Evo Morales was forced to land because it was erroneously thought by the geniuses at State that Snowden was hidden on board. Our silence has allowed Clinton, Bush, and Obama to shred our Constitution. Now despite irrefutable evidence, our complicit silence continues as America inexorably slides into lawless fascism. Of course the media is playing its craven role as a conduit for disinformation, propaganda, and government lies. If you have any doubts about the morally bereft nature of American behavior ask yourself a few obvious questions such as why the punishing conviction of Bradley Manning was such a government priority, but 55 million Americans without healthcare doesn't enrage lawmakers and engage the fawning "free" press. American History continues to be written by Disney and marketed to an apathetic public like tooth paste.
